Meet Tonya Baradaran

Tonya pivoted from nearly 20 years in Corporate America leading Customer Relationships, Key Accounts and Sales to a new chapter committed to helping children on the autism spectrum. As a graduate of Florida State University (B.S. Marketing, B.A. Creative Writing, and an Masters of Business Administration), Tonya's goal is to build retail partnerships that expand access to engaging, everyday learning for families nationwide. She is committed to creating age-appropriate, developmentally supportive books for neurodiverse young learners.

Inspired while book shopping with her son, Tonya noticed that many children's books did not capture the exceptional characteristics of all children, especially those who are on the autism spectrum. She soon realized there was a need greater than herself or family. She created the "Spectrum of" Series to represent inclusiveness and support for all children, conscious of neurodivergent learners, leveraging her son's favorite toy as the main characters, Cars!
Her literature represents social stories with intentionally crafted speech development language, social and academic content to empower all children to win in the classroom and beyond.
Tonya believes in love, kindness and hope. Her goal is to one day leverage a national retail partnership to connect shoppers to easy, everyday learning access through her series for families and children nationwide. She plans to create and expand the series to one that grows with children, showcases strengths and characteristics of autism while honoring children at various stages of their development. By scaling her efforts, she is dedicated to partnering and continuing to give back to community schools, libraries, and sponsor inclusive events for all children, including those who are neurodivergent.

Her Inspiration and Aspiration
When Tonya's son was diagnosed with speech delays and later showed early signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder, she set out to learn the best ways to care for his needs. This led her to create a series of books to teach important skills leveraging short stories to initiate and facilitate dialogue, communication, literacy and empower early academic achievement.

Spectrum of Cars features joyful, interactive books that give children the opportunity to practice opposites, color recognition, counting, shapes, advocation of needs, writing, math and more. Designed for parents to share with their children, young ones will have a smartly crafted, exploratory space for learning these concepts.

Her hope is continue to grow the series to meet children where they are in various stages of childhood empowering them to become the best versions of themselves.
